Shift close

A cash drawer that balances at the end of every shift

Cashiers count the drawer at close and TajerGo compares it with what the till expected. Cash, card, UPI and udhaar are shown apart, a variance is flagged, and the record names who closed the shift.

Schematic: a cash drawer count compared with the expected total

Step by step

How it works

  1. Open with a float

The starting cash is recorded against the cashier.

    Shift close, Restaurants & cafés
  2. Count at close

Notes and coins are entered; the expected cash comes from the bills.

    Shift close, Restaurants & cafés
  3. See the variance

Short or over is flagged, not hidden in a total.

    Shift close, Restaurants & cafés
  4. Hand over cleanly

The Z report and the name of who closed stay on record.

    Shift close, Restaurants & cafés

What you can do

  • Counted close

    Declared cash against expected cash.

  • Tender breakdown

Cash, card, UPI reference and udhaar shown apart.

  • Z report

    The end-of-day summary per register.

  • Audit of who closed

Each close names the cashier and manager.

Frequently asked questions

Does a UPI payment count as cash?

No. UPI is its own tender with its reference, so it is never mixed into the drawer count.

Can a manager see every shift across outlets?

Yes, closes are listed per branch and register.
